We are so grateful for so much this time of year... for good friends, wonderful family, jobs, health, our Savior... the list goes on.
We enjoyed sledding days with some of the kids' friends and cousins.
We went to several Christmas events such as the church Christmas party and my work party. I can't resist putting the picture of my nephew in. It is the classic "who is this crazy man in a red suit" picture. The following picture is how he calmed down after receiving a candy cane. Food always works!!!
We had a very wonderful Christmas that started with our family friends inviting us over for crepes. What a treat!!!! We will miss them dearly when they move away in June.
Later we had over lots of family... 28 people to be exact. It was fun to see everyone we hadn't seen in a long time. It was crowded but that is what Christmas is all about.
We had some sleepovers and lots of fun playdates. As parents, we are so grateful for the friends our kids have. They are great-- and we love their families.
Most of all we are grateful for the time we get to reflect on our lives and the life of our Savior. We didn't have an easy 2008. There are lots of things we wish could be different as we wrap up our year. But we also know the Lord has a plan for us and we will do all that we can to follow him and his direction. We will come out ahead in the end!!!
